On 29 March 2022, the Russian Government enacted Resolution No. 506 “On goods (group of goods) in relation to which certain provisions of the Russian Civil Code on protection of exclusive rights to intellectual property objects and means of individualization cannot be applied”. Under this Resolution, the Ministry of Industry and Trade shall introduce a list of goods in relation to which para. 6 of art. 1359 and art. 1487 of the Russian Civil Code are not applied provide that the said goods (group of goods) are put into circulation outside of Russia by the right holders (patent holders) or upon their consent.

The Russian Government brought a draft law “On amendments to the Part IV o the Russian Civil Code” to the State Duma. 

Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission considered amendments to the Agreement on Uniform Principles and Rules for Circulation of Medical Devices (Medical Devices and Medical Equipment) from 23 December 2014 regarding prolongation of national registration till 31 December 2022.

Ministry of Industry and Trade prepared a draft on amending the Regulations of the Russian Government No. 1289 of 30 November 2015. Under the draft the drugs from the List of Strategically Important Drugs produced in a foreign country shall be rejected to supply by the customer if there is at least one offer to supply a drug produced (all manufacturing stages) exclusively in the territory of the Eurasian Union member states.

On 28 October 2021, the Russian Constitutional Court passed a decision in which it examined Art. 110 para. 1 of the Russian Commercial (Arbitrazh) Procedure Code for compliance with the Constitution and clarified when right holders shall not reimburse legal costs to a defendant if the court reduced the compensation.
