Interest in the protection of unique designs, forms, and appearances of goods is steadily growing. In 2023, Rospatent issued 5204 patents for industrial designs, with over 70% of them granted to Russian applicants. By the end of 2023, the number of active patents reached 45487. Consequently, the number of disputes is also increasing. Compared to 2022, last year saw a 21% increase in intellectual property court cases, reaching 52620. Disputes over copyright and related rights increased by 67%, while patent disputes, including industrial designs, increased by 29%.
