Lidings is pleased to announce that in accordance with Federal Law N 394-FZ "On the State Council of the Russian Federation" dated December 8, 2020 and Decree of the President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin dated July 22, 2024, N 613 "On the Commissions of the State Council of the Russian Federation in the areas of socio-economic development of the Russian Federation and their chairmen", Stepan Guzey, partner of the firm, has been included in the expert council of the State Council of the Russian Federation's commission on the Northern Sea Route and the Arctic.
Also, in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin dated August 13, 2024 N 691 Stepan was included as an expert in the Council for the Protection of National Interests of the Russian Federation in the Arctic of the Maritime Board of the Russian Federation.
The tasks of the Commission of the State Council of the Russian Federation on the Northern Sea Route and the Arctic are to aggregate regional requests and initiatives for the development of the Northern Sea Route and the entire Arctic zone of the Russian Federation and synchronize them with the federal agenda.
The main task of the Maritime Collegium is to ensure coordination of activities of federal and regional executive authorities on issues related to the implementation of the national maritime policy. The Collegium consists of 52 members, including the heads of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Education and Science, heads of seaside regions, heads of the Border Service and the Main Directorate of the General Staff, as well as heads of major companies.
The tasks of the Council for the Protection of the National Interests of the Russian Federation in the Arctic as part of the Maritime Board are to analyze the political and socio-economic situation in this region, prepare instructions to government agencies on the development of the Northern Sea Route and Arctic territories and adjust actions, if necessary, to ensure national security and protect the national interests of the Russian Federation.
